It's an interesting month to travel. The early part of the month is referred to as shoulder season, while the end is the busiest part of the year. The temperature can be found all over the map. Taking a pre-Thanksgiving trip is a great way to score some deals while still enjoying the weather.

More destinations recently lifted restrictions related to COVID-19. There are new hotels to stay in and exhibits to see. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suspended country specific COVID-19 travel advisories. It's important to keep an eye on the latest recommendations from the CDC and consider getting the new vaccine booster for added protection.

Japan

Japan has allowed visa-free entry for individual travelers for the first time in 2 1/2 years. There are a lot of new openings this autumn. The Japanese yen's weakness against the U.S. dollar allows visitors to spend more money on luxury travel experiences.

Hiking and kayaking can be done in November. There's also an exclusive Nijo-jo Castle tour, serene Moon tuning Treatments, and Studio Ghibli Park Nagakute City opening in November.

According to Hotels.com, Tokyo is seeing a lower average hotel rate than the rest of the country. There will be new properties opening this month. The KAI Izumo and KAI Unzen will open in November. One of the best five-star hotels in Kyoto is the Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto, which costs $600 per night. There's a spa with natural onsen hot spring bathing. There are temples and castles close by. You can stay at The Westin Tokyo with Marriott Bonvoy points.

Amsterdam

Bounce analyzed the most popular cities in the Northern Hemisphere on weather, events, affordability and popularity to come up with the best city to visit this fall. The top spot was taken byAmsterdam. It's a great city break with a hotel price of $117.80 per night and 16 major events in the autumn. Museumnacht is a night when the city's cultural institutions come to life. The International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam will be held at the end of the month.

It's possible to get a room at the DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station for less than $200 a night. At just 15,000 World of Hyatt points, the Hyatt Regency Amsterdam is a great option.

Hawaii

It's a good time to visit one of the most popular destinations. Visitors flock to Hawaii's hot spots during the summer. Oahu saw a dip in travelers starting in November. The average ticket price to Honolulu is less than 10% up compared to the previous month. The cost of a room in Oahu was 15% lower this November. If you want to explore an uncrowded Waikiki, go paddle boarding or surf in the turquoise blue water, or attend a monthly night market showcasing Oahu artisans, you should take advantage of the decline in visitors.

The Surfjack Hotel is currently offering booking deals. The Marriott Bonvoy points can be used for around 37,000 Princess Kaiulani nights.

Greece

Greece is one of the most popular summer destinations, but it is worth a visit in the fall. You can still enjoy the weather even though you won't be able to lounge on the beach. You can score some amazing deals on hotels and flights, and you won't have to fight the crowds. Barozzi will remain open until the end of November. You can explore the ruins without taking a picture. Hike the parts of the trail that are not covered in sweat. There are a few festivals in November.

Ducato di Oia will remain open throughout the year, inviting guests to experience a quieter, more serene Santorini than you would find in the summer. The Mr & Mrs Smith Kapari Natural Resort costs $269 per night in Santorini.

Bhutan

Bhutan, which sits high in the Himalayas and is one of the world's ultimate bucket list destinations, just reopened its doors to guests after being closed due to the coronaviruses epidemic. The reopening of Bhutan will change the way it is received. Travelers don't need a certified tour operator to go on individual travel. The Trans-Bhutan Trail reopened for the first time in 60 years after being restored. Guests will now be able to travel through this incredible country by foot or bike, passing through some of the most remote areas of the world, including 21 temples, 12 mountain passes, five suspension bridges, ancient fortresses, monasteries and more than 400 historic sites.

The Marriott Bonvoy has two properties that are available for a fee. The lodges are managed for $1,750 a night.

Turkey

Turkey is a great place to visit in November as there are many events taking place throughout the country. There are mosques, tombs, inns, baths and examples of civil architecture similar to buildings from the Ottoman period in Bilecik, which is a great place to see fall colors at their best in November. Travelers can view fall foliage in the Pazaryeri district. The Istanbul Theatre Festival features innovative renditions of selected Turkish and international theater and dance companies. There are two performances on Nov. 4 and 26. The Istanbul Marathon will take place on November 6.

The long and short Gran Fondo races will end in front of a hotel starting at $110 a night. You can stay at the new HHonors hotel in Istanbul Old City for a fee.

New Orleans

November is a great time to visit the Big Easy. "Expressions of America" is a 4D entertainment experience that will be launched on Veterans Day. The Oak Street Po-Boy Festival, the New Orleans Film Festival and the Bayou Classic are all held in November. In the summer, highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s are the norm.

Virgin Hotels New Orleans has rooms for $300 per night. One of the hottest properties is the Four Seasons New Orleans, which starts at $375 a night.

Houston

H-Town has a brand-new food hall and lots of exciting cultural and arts festivals. There will be nine exciting destinations offering sushi, plant-based Mexican, authentic Texas barbecue and Indian street food at the new Lyric Market in downtown. The Dia de los Muertos concert and parade is returning to Houston. The Tokyo Night Festival is a celebration of modern and traditional Japanese culture that takes place in November. Lightscape returns to the Houston Botanic Garden in November.
