Since the spring, talk of an ad-supported version of the streaming service has been bothering us. After rumors began swirling in August that the ad tier would cost between $7 to $9, it was finally confirmed that the plan will cost $6.99 on November 3. This new ad-supported plan, called Basic with Ads, will feature less offerings, at least right out of the gate.

Due to licensing restrictions, a limited number of movies and TV shows won't be available on basic with ads. Variety reported that Basic with Ads will have less titles than its ad-free plans. Basic with ads users won't be able to download shows

The ads will be 15 to 30 seconds in length, and will play before or during different programming. According to a previous report, the balancing act of attracting new cost-conscious customers while offering a cheaper experience that isn't completely annoying is being done byNetflix. The basic, standard, and premium plans will remain the same price.

Basic with Ads will be available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
