  • NY officials say Donald Trump formed'Trump Organization II' to protect assets.

  • On the same day NY's AG sued the Trump Organization, a new company was formed.

  • The AG wants a judge to prevent Trump from moving assets.

With his business empire, the Trump Organization, in civil and criminal jeopardy in New York, Donald Trump has came up with an apparent solution that has angered state officials.

Public records show that the new company was registered with the New York Department of State on the day that the state attorney general filed a 220-page fraud lawsuit against Trump, his family, and the original Trump Organization.

The AG said in a press release that James' office filed court papers to prevent Trump from moving assets from the Trump Organization to the new entity.

The court papers asked the judge to appoint an independent monitor to oversee the Trump Organization.

The attorney general's office wants to electronically serve Trump with a copy of the lawsuit. Insider reported on Monday that Trump hasn't accepted service since the lawsuit was filed.
