Bruno Mars said on Thursday that Silk Sonic, his R&B duo with Anderson.Paak, won't submit their album An Evening With Silk Sonic for any Grammys in the future.

Mars saidSilk Sonic would like to bow out of submitting their album this year.
An Evening With Silk Sonic's lead single, "Leave The Door Open," won four awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year, at the 2020 Grammys.
Mars said they would be crazy to ask for anything more after they received the award last year.
Variety reported that Mars could be avoiding backlash like he did when his album 24K Magic swept all the awards it was nominated for.
The Big Steppers are expected to be a major contender.
Drake withdrew his nomination last year. The Weeknd's album Blinding Lights was not recognized by the organization. He said that the awards may no longer matter to the artist that exist now and the ones that come after. The Weeknd didn't submit for any awards in the future.
Mars has won 15 Grammys, and.Paak has won eight. The single "Leave The Door Open" was released earlier than the album "An Evening With Silk Sonic", which made it eligible for the awards. They performed at a residency in Las Vegas.
The ceremony for the awards will take place on February 5.
