The rights to the legendary children's author's catalog were acquired by the streaming service. The first trailer for the musical shows us what the ambitions will be. The streaming service is working on a series based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as well as a musical based on it, which is part of a deal between Sony and the service. Both of those projects have been in the works for a long time, but now that it has access to the entire catalog, they are just the beginning. Disney Plus has a large library of family-friendly shows and movies.
