Private investigators were hired by the owner of the Washington Commanders to look into the other owners and the commissioner of the National Football League.

Multiple team owners and other sources inside the league have been told that the law firms were instructed to hire the investigators. The owner said that he was told that he has dirt on Jerry Jones, who has been a friend and mentor of the owner.

There was a change in the relationship between Jones and the other person.

Jerry Jones told people that he might not be able to protect him anymore. Jones told an owner that he was only out to get in his pocket. You will be sold down the river by him. A senior executive said that the owner couldn't trust him. "Snyder has already lost Jerry," the source said.

Lawyers for the man denied that his relationship with Jones had soured and said they have great respect and admiration for him. A Cowboys spokesman and Jones didn't comment on the report.

According to the report, league sources say the league is aware that the owner is being tracked The owners and sources wouldn't say how they learned of the attempt to use private investigators. It's not clear how many owners have been targeted, but sources say it's at least six.

The leader of the Commanders organization, who has been at the helm for 23 years, is confident that he won't lose control of the organization without taking others down with him. According to people in his inner circle, he told them that he has enough information to blow up several owners around the league.

"They can't f--k with me," according to a report.

The team's toxic culture has been the subject of multiple investigations. Some owners are confused as to why the league is taking over the franchise.

Washington team officials were not available to be interviewed for the report, but the team issued a statement denying that the team's owner was investigating other owners and the commissioner.

This is not true. John Brownlee and Stuart Nash are partners at Holland and Knight. It's "simply ridiculous and utterly false" that the league "can't f--k" with the man, according to a team spokesman.

Despite the denial, the report stated that several owners believe that the use of private investigators is a ploy to get owners to vote to remove him as Commanders owner. The owners of the league have to agree to remove an owner.

A veteran owner said that he was backing into a corner. He's acting like a crazy dog.
