The Polestar 3 is the third electric vehicle from Polestar.
Polestar is Volvo's sub-brand focused on electric performance cars, but with the Polestar 3, a mid-sized SUV, the focus is more on stuffing as many tech advances as possible into one car.
The Polestar 3 can travel from 0-6mph in 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of over 200 km/h. The performance pack increases the maximum power to 400 kilowatts and reduces the time it takes to accelerate from 0-6 seconds to 3-4 seconds.

According to preliminary figures from the manufacturer, Polestar 3 fares well in the range category. 300 miles of range per EPA estimate is provided by the car's battery pack. The battery can be charged at a maximum rate of 250 kilowatts, which should give it a full charge in half an hour.
The Polestar 3 is quite large for a mid-size SUV, with a 192-inch length, 64-inch height, and 83.5-inch width. It has a boot capacity of 484 liters and can seat five people.

The company's previous two cars, Polestar 1 and Polestar 2, had dual blade, T-shaped headlights, and a front aero wing in the bonnet. The "SmartZone/Sensor cluster" sign is a small text sign next to the front camera.
It's kind of Volvo/Polestar's thing that it's luxuriously minimalist inside. There is a small display in front of the driver that shows the basics such as speed and battery capacity, and a larger display in the middle of the cockpit that shows things like speed and battery capacity.

The seats are made out of bio-attributed MicroTech, which is a form of textile made from recycled polyester, and Polestar says it's all welfare-certified and fully traceable. There are a number of niceties that should make your life in the car more comfortable.
Polestar 3 will draw in some customers, but the most interesting aspect is the tech. The company worked with a bunch of technology companies to make the car as safe and brainy as it can be.

The car has a lot of sensors, including five radar modules, five external cameras, twelve external Ultrasonic sensors, and two driver monitoring cameras with eye tracking. The sensors on the outside keep you in your lane and make sure you don't collide with something, while the sensors inside can detect when you're distracted or sleepy, and the car can issue warnings or even stop.
The Polestar 3 comes with over-the-air update capabilities that allow for software improvement and the addition of new features without the need for a service point.
Polestar points out that the car comes with a lot of features in the standard configuration, so you won't have to pay more for the extras.
The car is expected to arrive in North America, Europe, and China in the fourth quarter of the next decade.
