Microsoft is changing its Office brand. After more than 30 years, Microsoft Office is getting a new name. Microsoft will mostly refer to these apps as part of Microsoft365 instead of Microsoft Office.

Microsoft has been pushing this new branding for a long time, but the changes go much deeper now. In the coming months, Office.com, the Office mobile app, and the Office app for Windows will become the Microsoft365 app, with a new icon, a new look, and even more features.

If you use any of the dedicated Office apps, they'll all be branded with a new logo soon In November, the first logo and design changes will appear at Office.com, followed by the Office app on Windows, iOS, andAndroid being rebranded in January.

A central Microsoft365 app for both mobile and desktop will include a feed of relevant colleagues and meetings.

The Microsoft Office brand won't disappear immediately. One-time purchases of the Office bundle of apps will continue to be offered by Microsoft. When there are new features announced, they will be coming to Microsoft365 and not Microsoft Office.
