Tucker Carlson has a history of attacking John Fetterman, the Pennsylvania Democrat who is running for the US Senate.
The Fox News host claimed that Fetterman could be hacked because of his use of an electronic device in the interview.
Fetterman, who spoke to NBC News reporter Dasha Burns this week in his first sit-down interview since his stroke in May, stuttered and had trouble finding words.
Fetterman was engaging in small talk before the interview, according to Burns.
The reporter's comments drew criticism and disability advocates referred to NBC's coverage as "deeply upsetting" and "stigmatizing."
Fetterman used the device for trans-humanists.
It raises some obvious questions for the voters of Pennsylvania. Where does the software end and where does John Fetterman start? Carlson wanted to know.
