Zion is under scrutiny when it comes to injuries.

He knew what to expect on social media when he left the game with an ankle injury.

"It already did its job," he joked. Apparently, they are the doctors.

It was easy for him to make fun of himself. Willie Green said he expects the 22-year-old to be a day-to-day player. He was taken out of the game for precautionary reasons.

The team doesn't expect him to miss a lot of time.

When he drove to the basket in the second quarter, he rolled his ankle. He injured his ankle when he tried to get into the lane around Dedmon.

He played for almost another three minutes before checking out at the end of the first quarter.

In just under 11 minutes of work, he had 11 points on 3-of-7 shooting, 5 of 6 from the line, and an assist. He had two goals and four helpers.

"I popped back up and said, 'I'm straight,'" he said. It didn't feel bad after a few minutes. They sent me back to make sure. We wanted to look at it and had a doctor look at it. Outside of that, I feel pretty good. It was not bad news from the doctors.

The Atlanta Hawks will be the opponent for the final preseason game on Friday. The regular season starts in Brooklyn on October 19th.

It takes him back to the Notorious B.I.G. album "Ready to Die" when asked about the uproar surrounding his injuries. He said the album helped him focus on his rehabilitation.

"That's just how the world is, you just learned that," he said. I can't do anything to change that. The world is like that.

The group hasn't played together yet this preseason so they were hoping to have their starting lineup in action Friday. Brandon Ingram has yet to make his preseason debut because of left fifth toe soreness, whileCJ McCollum played in just his second game of the preseason.

In the days leading up to the game, he said that he felt good and was making progress in his recovery.
