SWG3 is an arts complex in Glasgow that hosts massive dance parties.

He had a moment.

He could use the human energy in his warehouses to create a sustainable business.

He told The Guardian that the audience could be the source of energy.

Brown and TownRock Energy made his dream a reality. The club opened to 1,250 people. The heat from their bodies was transferred into a layer of bedrock that acted as a thermal battery.

The bedrock keeps the heat in until it's needed.

Two of SWG3's biggest event spaces are the TV studio and the Galvanizers. SWG3 can eliminate three gas boilers thanks to the technology. 800 kilo watt hours of heat could be generated by SWG3.

This system is not cheap. Brown said he spent $500,000. He got a grant from Scotland's Low Carbon Infrastructure Transition Program and a low interest loan from a bank to pay for it.

The Bodyheat system is being used in other places because of the success of SWG3. According to the Times, they are looking at a chain of British gyms where pumped-up bodies are good for energy.
