  • A group of Germans can put a wrecked Russian tank outside of the Russian embassy in Berlin.

  • The plan was approved by a higher court on Tuesday.

  • He said he would pick up the tank himself.

The wreck of a Russian tank will be placed in front of the country's embassy in Berlin to convey the "brutality" of the war in Ukraine.

According to a court press release, local authorities initially resisted the proposal because of public safety and its appropriateness, which is why they are still resisting it.

The proposal was given the go-ahead by Berlin's administrative court on Tuesday.

The court said that putting the tank there temporarily fell under the freedom of expression.

The embassy is located in the key tourism and administrative district of Berlin.

According to his biography, he is an "entrepreneur, consultant, museum director" and has been in Ukraine since March.

He said that he was inspired by displays in other countries.

The city of Berlin said no, and they had hilarious reasons, including traffic concerns and the potential impact on a nearby kebab stall.

The court release said that the district was initially concerned because people probably died in the wreck.

According to the court release, the road just outside the embassy isn't strong enough to hold the weight of a huge tank.

In his video, Lenze said that the tank wouldn't arrive soon because of the paperwork.

Lenze told Insider that no representative from the embassy has said anything.

The embassy isn't his main audience, but passers-by who he hopes to awaken, according to an interview with German magazine.

He hoped that it would open people's eyes and show the brutality and suffering of the victims.

He doesn't have a tank yet, but he plans to pick one up from Ukraine using a flatbed truck and pay his own costs.

"Our government doesn't want to send tanks to Ukraine, but it also doesn't want me to import one as well, so it's a bit stupid," he said.

According to Defense News, Germany's Chancellor has come under fire for his government's reluctance to send armed vehicles to Ukraine.

Germany said it would send air defense systems after Russian bombardment of Ukrainian cities.
