A Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to wire fraud after he set up a hoax in which he claimed people had spray-painted left-wing messages on his garage. It is not against the law to spray-paint your own property, but the man received about $61,000 from his insurance company and $17,000 from a crowd funding website. Denis Molla made a false report to police that his home had been vandalised. Molla told police he heard an explosion while he was outside. The camper was set on fire because he had a Trump 2020 flag on it, according to the police report.
The bullshit story was picked up by outlets like Fox News, where host Laura Ingraham spoke with a far-right author.
A message is being sent by the far- left. During the Fox News segment, Ingraham said that people are starting to see that murder, even if it is not premeditated, is still a possibility.
Deana Molla appeared at his side during interviews to ask why someone would target them for their political beliefs.
Deana told KARE 11 that the people knew that they had children. They believed it was okay to do this.
It's not clear what Deana knew about her husband's scheme.
There is a national news story about left-wing craziness and the intolerance of political differences. There was a different reason for the hoax. The garage, camper, trucks, and house were all insured. Despite their fraudulent nature, the insurance company denied some of the claims.
The Department of Justice said in a statement that Molla submitted a written complaint to the insurance company claiming that it was defrauding him and threatening to report the company to the Department of Commerce.
According to the indictment filed by the Department of Justice, Molla made $17,135.94 from the GoFundMe campaign and thanked the many donors in the comments. The DOJ said that Molla reiterated his threats to the insurance company.
The whole thing was suspicious from the beginning. Biden, one of the most centrist Democrats around, is not likely to be supported by anyone who spray- paints an anarchy symbol. People associated with BLM aren't the biggest Biden fans.
Skeptics picked up on the claim that one of the family's cameras was blocked just before the explosion.
The same story from CBS said that the family was able to save four puppies from the smoke-filled garage, as a ruse for sympathy. There are puppies. It was saved from a fire. Mr. True Blooded American, why didn't you save grandma and apple pie?
Up to 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000 are the punishments that will be handed down by the court. There are more photos of the hoax that were shown on newscasts.
