The company shared a number of products and updates that deserve attention, even though the company focused on the Quest Pro. Beyond introducing a new virtual reality device, Meta detailed all the ways it was trying to expand the metaverse: Through partnerships with other tech companies, licensing deals with media conglomerates, and adding new body parts to avatars

The new workplace offering from Meta is called the Meta Quest Pro. There is a price tag to match. The physical device is smaller and lighter than the other one. The battery has been moved from the front to the back of the device because of the flat pancake lens.

Full-color mixed reality overlaps graphics over the physical world. There is a virtual workspace in your living room. There is an optional light- blocking gasket. You can see the surrounding environment if you remove the magnets that attach them.

Eye tracking and more natural facial expressions will be possible with new inward-facing sensors, which Meta hopes will make for realistic interactions in the metaverse.

The new controllers come with a stylus that can be used to write and sketch in virtual reality. The virtual world feels even more real with the help of new sensors and Haptics.

Work, business, and productivity in the Metaverse (feat. a Microsoft cameo)

There was a lot of focus on the use of virtual reality in the workplace. Meta collaborated with several companies to bring the metaverse to their remote workers.

The new partnership between Microsoft and Facebook will cement virtual reality as the future of work, according to the two tech giants. Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Windows365, Microsoft Intune, andAzure Active Directory will be included in the second edition of the game. You will be able to use your Metaavatar in teams.

Meta's existing Workroom product will include sticky notes for virtual whiteboards and integration with zoom. You will be able to create a virtual reality workspace by using three virtual screens and four personal environments.

Avatars

The new avatars are a step up from the floating eggs we are currently walking around in. Eye tracking and facial expressions can be tracked with the Meta Quest Pro's inward-facing sensors. The company says that meetings in Workrooms will give you a better sense of being there than traditional video calls.

The current design seemed more emotional and realistic than the one he showed off. We were shown an even more advanced and impressive "codec" avata r currently in progress by the team.

A diverse selection of skin tones, facial features, abilities, and personal styles have been created by the team. They will be getting some exercise.

Media and Gaming

Meta is partnering with NBCUniversal to bring the Peacock app to the metaverse, and to integrate virtual spaces from The Office, Halloween Horror Nights, and others. The VP of the Metaverse at Meta said that fans will be able to engage in these experiences at Universal Studios theme parks and personalize theiravatar.

As part of Meta's partnership with Microsoft, XBOX Cloud gaming will be available soon at the Meta Quest Store, though no release date has been set.

Iron Man will be available on Meta Quest 2 in November, and will be the first game in the series to be played in virtual reality.

"All the tension and excitement of the original, but built from the ground up for virtual reality" is how the game promises to be described. The first-person perspective will increase the difficulty and the ante. You can pre-order now.

Skydance Interactive's The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution would be out in December while Behemoth is being developed for virtual reality

A new pack will be introduced for sweaty sessions. The facial interface and straps will be sweat resistant. The package of features was announced a year ago.

Future tech

At this year's Connect, we saw a return to exploratory tech that we saw last year. A prototype of a wrist-worn device that reads electrical signals within your muscles to control actions on a screen was shown off by Michael Abrash. Since controllers are clunky, it's not clear how Meta will use the tech in the future.
