A new perfume is being promoted by the world's richest man, as he continues to turn jokes into products.

Musk changed his biography to "Perfume Salesman" after announcing "Burnt Hair" on Tuesday. Musk later said that 10,000 bottles had been sold after the Boring Co. product page listed the price at $100 a pop.

He said in September that the Boring Co. would create a scent for men that would help them stand out in a crowd.

His massive fan base has turned his products into highly sought after collectibles. In order to raise $10 million for its tunnel-building tests, a limited line of 20,000 flamethrowers was sold. He has used such items to make fun of investors who bet against his EV firm, including a joke that led to a share plunge.

Musk has said that Boring Co. plans to make a high-speed transportation system called the "Hyperloop" in the next few years.
