BMW is trying to get gaming on vehicle screens while you wait for your car to charge. AirConsole, a party game service that normally runs on devices like Android TV or PC, will be added to the iDrive 8 system.

AirConsole has games that are delivered over the internet with controls that are handled by phones. GoKart Go Air, Mega Monster Party, and Let's Cook Together are just a few of the games that can be found on the PC. Jackbox games are one of the games that are absent.

Cuphead and Beach Buggy Racing 2 are just two of the games that have been pre-installed on the dashboard of the car company. In July, Musk claimed that Steam integration was going to happen next month. Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming to newer Model S and Model X vehicles, as well as high-end PC games, thanks to Musk's promise.

BMW doesn't have the same amount of power. The new BMW 7-series is the only current vehicle capable of handling the games, according to the publicist. It appears that the iX XDrive 50 won't get the games via an over-the-air update, but it doesn't rule out the possibility of a hardware retrofit. Next year, BMW will ship new cars that have the latest hardware.

With more screens popping up in cars, we can expect more companies to follow in the footsteps ofTesla. It's hard to imagine why anyone would choose a watered-down Smash Bros. clone just because it has high-res 3D graphics and a cloud gaming service.
