John Lundstram says the crowd will need to be brave when they watch Rangers play in the European competition.

Rangers haven't scored or taken a point from any of their three matches and sit bottom of Group A.

Lundstram said there was something special about Ibrox.

Hopefully we can get something if we lay a glove on them.

The reason for encouragement was highlighted by the 28-year-old, who joined Rangers from Sheffield United in 2021.

You have to get up against people, get the crowd up, and try to frighten the opposition.

The aura around the place will have been felt by anyone who's been here. If we can get up to them and see their faces, we will be able to open up a bit and everyone will have to be brave in the stands.

It's the only way we can get a result against a team that is really talented.

Trent Alexander-Arnold andJoel Matip are not with the team for the game against Rangers.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will not be in the Reds squad.

The Reds are in second place in the group. They have 10 points from eight games and are currently 10th in the premier league

"Tomorrow we will fight, but I can't promise we'll fly," said the manager.

It wasn't easy because of the injuries, but I liked the team I saw today. Let's see how it goes.

Commentator's notes

There is a radio station in Scotland.

Rangers are staring up at the rest of Group A, facing an impossible task to finish third in the section.

The hammering in Amsterdam on matchday one means they will need at least a point from their next two games to have a chance of winning.

Taking a point from a team in Italy will be no mean feat, given that they are close to the bottom of the table.

If it wasn't for Allan McGregor, Darwin Nunez would have had three goals and the team would have been out of sight early on.

The German cannot explain their form. The admission that they are not in a title race will be a blow to the club's fans.

Furthermore, they have only scored four goals in their last nine home games in the competition and never more than once in a game in this period.
  • Three of Liverpool's five Champions League goals this season have come from set-pieces (one corner, one direct free-kick, one penalty), with both of their goals against Rangers coming via this method.
