After unveiling its BEAMS-exclusive snow boots, Japanese footwear label Suicoke has returned, this time calling in Pilgrim Surf + Supply for a progressive take on the chukka boot.
Coming in colors of dark brown and black, the boots have been packed with a bevy of functional materials, yet retain a relatively muted look. Smooth leather trim cab be found at the upper collars of the silhouette, followed by a large tongue held down by decorative metal belt clasps. The side of the shoes come with taped zippers for easy access, while the upper suede has been reinforced with an underlying layer of membrane that provides optimal breathability and water-resistance. All of these details sit above a distinctively shortened Vibram midsole, cutting half its original thickness to make the boots more lightweight while giving it a sleeker finish.
