Taking a family to Disney World or Disneyland can cost a lot. The price is on the rise like so many other things.

Disneyland Resort has quietly increased its prices across a number of categories. The changes are already in effect.

The price increase for the Anaheim parks is the first in a year and affects single day, multiday and Park Hopper tickets.

The price changes in California are unrelated to the price increases at Disney World. The Florida parks weren't completely spared. Many of the prices for Disney World are increasing. Costs in the Florida parks have gone up.

How much more will it cost to go to Disneyland in California? How much will it cost to use genie+ in Anaheim? To budget for a park visit, you need to know what to expect.

How much does it cost to go to Disneyland?

Ticket price increase

Disneyland will cost you more for a family of four than it did the previous day, with the average cost of a single day park ticket increasing by $10 overnight.

Dynamic pricing is the name of the game at Disney parks, meaning that the more popular you are the more expensive it will be.

The base price for the lowest-priced, single-day, single-park ticket remains the same at $104. The lowest Park Hopper ticket is more expensive than the previous lowest one.

One park for one day is the maximum Tier 6 pricing for the coming holiday months. If you return on a weekday in the middle of January, you will pay the Tier 0 ticket price of $104.

DISNEYLAND

Here's a look at 1-day prices for 1 park with the pricing structure for Disneyland:

There are single-day tickets for Disneyland and California Adventure.

1-Day, 1-Park: $104 (new tier pricing). The 1-Day, 1-Park is now $179.

A single day park Hopper.

1-Day Park Hopper (Tier 0): $169 (new tier) 1-Day Park Hopper (Tier 1): $179 (previously $164) 1-Day Park Hopper (Tier 2): $194 (previously $179) The 1-Day Park Hopper is now $244.

Genie+ price increase

There is a genie at the parks. That is the price of genie+.

DISNEYLAND

It's not just the price that went up. We're seeing prices for the skip-the-lines service increasing across the parks, as noticed and reported by multiple park goers.

The cost of adding Lightning Lane access to your reservations used to be $20 at Disneyland. It is now up $5 to $25 per person. It doesn't change by date. It still includes Disney PhotoPass for the day, which makes it a little easier to digest.

California Adventure's SpiderMan: Web Slingers, which is one of the park's most popular rides, is now included in Genie+ at Disneyland, so you won't have to pay an additional fee for it. Rise of the Resistance Lightning Lane access now costs $25, which is an increase from $20.

The most popular days at Disney World will cost more than other days. Pricing examples for October are only available for less busy dates, with prices ranging from $22 on more busy dates to fifteen dollars on less busy dates. It used to be a flat$15 at Disney World.

You will have to pay a separate fee to ride Rise of the Resistance in Disney World. The skip-the-line price has gone up 25%.

Disney parking increase

There's more to come. Disneyland is increasing the price of preferred parking from $45 to $50. The cost of parking at Disneyland Resort hotels went up 30%.

Increased costs at Walt Disney World

Although the admission price isn't going up again, there are price increases in other parts of the park.

We're seeing a cost increase for add-on experiences in Hollywood Studios atGalaxy's Edge, where handbuilt lightsabers are now priced at $250, up from $225. The price to build a droid at the depot has gone up.

Hundreds of items have new elevated prices and the price of some character dining experiences has increased as well as reports of increased prices on food at Disney World.

If you're planning on going to a Disney park, be sure to check the new pricing dynamics. You may have to pay more for your day in the park today.

It's true that being flexible on your park dates will save you money, but it's more true now than it has been before.
