The Meta Quest Pro is a new mixed reality headset that is meant to make the metaverse a reality. We are expecting to see Apple's augmented reality headset next year, and the Meta Quest Pro has features that are rumored for it.

The mixed reality headset features both augmented and virtual reality and is equipped with pancake lens that keep it sleek. pancake lens are said to be used for a thin and light design.

The Meta Quest Pro has a curved battery at the back for a better fit, and it is using high-resolution outward-facing cameras to capture 4x as many images as the previous-generation Meta Quest 2. While Apple's headset is rumored to use micro-OLED screens, it is using liquid crystal display displays.

Apple's headset has more than a dozen cameras for things like eye tracking, spatial detection, expression detection, and skin detection, but Meta has more features. Meta says that it can "capture natural facial expressions" and translate them to a virtual character.

Mixed reality will allow you to combine the physical world with the virtual, so you can do things like set up a virtual workspace while using your keyboard and mouse.

There are also Touch Pro controllers that track their position in 3D space, and a 45W charging dock.

As of today, the Meta Quest Pro is available for pre-order and will be shipping out in October.
