Donald Trump confessed to illegally storing government records at his Mar-a-Lago estate, according to Lawrence O'Donnell.

At a weekend rally in Arizona, Trump admitted that he had a small number of boxes in storage at Mar-a-Lago. It is safe.

There is no crime, according to the former president. They should give me back everything that they took from me because it is my property.

O'Donnell said that Trump's criminal intent to continue to illegally possess government records, including classified records, was proven in front of thousands of witnesses.

He said that Donald Trump made it clear that he intended to never return the government's property to it's rightful owner.

O'Donnell pointed out that the excuse that he didn't know the documents were there may have created enough doubt in the mind of a jury to acquit him if he's charged.

O'Donnell said that Trump was threatening to indict Garland.
