I have owned an Apple device for 14 years, and I am familiar with the company. It is my tradition to always place an iPhone pre-order to ensure I get my device on launch day. I pre-ordered the deep purple iPhone 14 Pro because I didn't want to miss out on the new features in the Pro lineup. The Dynamic Island, the always-on display, and the camera make it one of the best mobile devices.

One of my favorite features of the iPhone 14 Pro isn't new, according to me. Since the launch of the iPhone 12 series, it has been around. MagSafe is one of the features that is a serious game-changer and one that I can't live without.

If you don't know anything about MagSafe, that's fine, Apple doesn't talk about it much anymore. MagSafe used to be used on MacBooks, where the charging cable would "plug in" to the MacBook charging port. If someone were to trip over the charging cable, the MagSafe bit would allow the cable to come out of the charging port, so your laptop wouldn't come crashing down onto the floor.

MagSafe is a hardware feature that Apple added to the iPhone lineup. MagSafe is a ring of magnets located in the back of the iPhone that can be used to hold a variety of accessories.

The strength of the magnets will be weakened if you put a MagSafe case on your phone. The MagSafe case has a ring of magnets embedded in it, so you can still use all of your MagSafe accessories, even if you don't own a MagSafe case.

MagSafe is an excellent feature that I rely on daily

The range of accessories was limited when MagSafe first came out. There was an official MagSafe wireless power bank from Apple, as well as some third-party magnetic power banks. As time went on, more accessory makers made MagSafe compatible accessories, like the PopSockets PopGrip for MagSafe and Joby's GripTight Gorilla Pod for MagSafe, and it's become something that I depend on daily. There is not a moment when I am not using MagSafe.

I don't trust myself with a naked iPhone because things have happened, so I use the PopSockets PopGrip for MagSafe on my phone. I bought a PopSocket to see what the hype was about, after I thought they were the dumbest thing ever.

I put that plastic on the back of my phone with a case, and I was able to use it with one hand. I have small hands and a 6.1-inch screen is hard to use. I would drop my phone if I didn't take selfies. I hated the way PopSockets PopGrips were attached because I change cases a lot and I didn't like the way it was attached.

I let out a cry of joy when PopSockets released its MagSafe line of accessories. A larger, pill-shaped slab with a magnetic circle and line underneath helps it align perfectly with MagSafe on the iPhone 12 and up.

Since it is so easy to take off, I am okay with it covering up more of the back of your phone. I build up a collection of PopSockets PopTops because I like to swap them out for my Disneyland trips. I find it hard to use my phone without a PopSocket, and MagSafe made it a lot easier for me. If I need to put it on a wireless charge or switch to another accessory, I can take it off.

The MagSafe PopSocket comes off when it's supposed to. If I am at Disneyland a lot, I might need a battery pack at the end of the day to top off my phone. I use MagSafe battery packs instead of carrying a regular battery pack in case my husband needs to use it. My go-tos are the MagGo 622 and MagGo , both of which have a foldable back cover that doubles as a stand. A new MagGo battery pack with an integrated PopSocket has been added to my collection. MagSafe holds the battery in place and I love the convenience of having my phone charge without wires. It's no longer necessary to misplace cables. The integrated PopSocket lets me hold my phone while I charge it.

I use my MagSafe car mount on my dashboard to slap my PopSocket onto when I drive. When I need to remove MagSafe from my phone to use Apple Pay, I use universal car mounts. My Joby Gorilla Pod is a MagSafe accessory and I use it for almost all of my photography. When I need to take product photos and I don't have anyone else to help me, I use this magnetic tripod.

I have used MagSafe with my phone for the past few years. It's one of the most useful additions to the iPhone in a while, and it's changed my life.

Where’s MagSafe for Android?

Two years ago, Apple introduced MagSafe on the phone. It is an important part of my daily life and I don't think I could do without it. I have to wonder why a MagSafe-like feature isn't included in other manufacturers' phones.

Only Realme made an attempt about a year ago. Realme doesn't sell phones in the U.S., and the MagDart system never took off like Apple's MagSafe did. In the smartphone world, companies are always copying each other in terms of hardware and software features, so I'm surprised that MagSafe isn't something thatAndroid brands have already copied in the past two years

Since I use MagSafe every day, it is hard for me to not have it. I missed something from my phone when I tried to use it more. I would have to replace a few of my accessories, like my MagSafe car mount and battery packs.

Apple doesn't talk much about MagSafe these days, but it's still one of the best qualities of the iPhone 14
