Is there any credible information about the brain? I don't think that's true.
Neuroplasticity is real and is being used in rehabilitation. We have learned that the adult brain can grow new neurons and the brain can be re-wired to function in new ways. In a recent email I was offered an interview with Adora Winquist to learn about neuroplasticity. I declined. There were red flags galore in the invitation and on Winquist’s website, and I realized I could not learn anything useful about the science of neuroplasticity from her.
essential oils, meditation, diet, exercise, and music are her top 5 tips for optimal brain function. She doesn't mention evidence or science, even though there is some evidence that some of these can improve brain function. She has a book out called "detach, nourish, activated: plant and vimal medicine for energy, mood, and love". There are already two alternative medicine buzzwords in that title. Adora has been packing in a lot of flags. She deserves a prize for her use of the red flags that indicate alternative medicine nonsense.
She is a visionary in the field of Quantum Alchemy, an evolutionary path for self-mastery which facilitates healing at the DNA level using an amalgamation of plant and vibrational therapies. One of the first to combine energy healing and aroma therapy was her initial product line. ADORAtherapy is an award winning brand. She supports women who are on the path of the divine feminine. She teaches veterans how to make their own drugs. She is an expert on crystallising. She created a way to reprogram the brain to expect good things.
There are a number of questionable claims made by her.
It is not the language of science or reality. It is enough to convince a person that she lives in a world of fantasy and imagination. She hit a lot of red flags but didn't hit every one. Her only interest to me is that she is a bad example. Her example might be useful if people understand what science-based medicine is. She's the epitome of non-science based medicine. I wonder if she knows what she's talking about.
It could be called fantasy, imagination, or wishful thinking. It can't be trusted because it has nothing to do with evidence or science.
