The billionaire investor said on Monday that he has given up his Russian citizenship.

The founder of tech investment firm made an announcement on his verified account. In the summer, he and his family decided to give up their Russian citizenship. He said that they had left Russia for good in the wake of the annexation of the peninsula.

According to his website, Milner has been an Israeli citizen since 1999 and was born in Moscow in 1961. The richest Russian in Silicon Valley has a net worth of $3.5 billion.

He made a lot of money with his bets on tech firms such asAirbnb.

The man is no longer associated with the Russian President's regime.

Milner's website states that he has not been to Russia in over a year and that most of his wealth was created outside of Russia. Milner has never met Putin in person or in a group.

His investment firm denounced Russia's war against Ukraine. Russia's invasion of Ukraine and its brutal assaults against the civilian population were condemned by his foundation.
