Josh McDaniels defended his decision to attempt a 2-point conversion rather than a game-tying extra point late in the fourth quarter, a call that his players supported.

Even though the Raiders lost to the Chiefs 30-29, they did not give up even though the try failed.

"Kansas City had a lot of energy in the second half, and I think that's why they won the game," he said. We had a play that we liked. I thought we'd get a chance to see it.

Josh Jacobs, who rushed for a career-high 154 yards with a touchdown on 21 carries, was stuffed just shy of the goal line with just over four minutes left in the game.

Jacobs said that they wanted it that way. We were aware that we would be in that situation. We were talking about third-and-1s, fourth-and-1s and 2-point plays all week.

I knew the hole would be hairy when I got the ball. I blame myself for not reaching the ball over. It wouldn't have mattered if I reached the ball. I'm going to put that on my shoulders. I could have caught it.

The Raiders faced a fourth-and-1 at their own 46-yard line after Las Vegas forced a punt. With no timeouts, the Raiders attempted a deep throw rather than run the ball up the gut, and Carr's pass intended for Adams fell incomplete as Adams and Renfrow ran into each other down the field.

Since Las Vegas was out of timeouts, Jacobs didn't have a problem with the playcall.

Carr said he knew the Raiders were going to try a 2-point conversion before they started their drive.

"I like being aggressive, especially on the road, I'm all on board," said Carr, who completed 19 of 30 attempts for 241 yards and two scores.

I told people, "Hey, 2!" when we scored. I thought Josh Jacobs was in when I heard him say it. His knee was on the ground.

Carr put his hands together and said that they were close to being up 31-30.

Adams said he was in favor of going for 2.

He said that the only way he could make a play was by buying in.

You need to be for it. I was okay with it because I felt we had a chance to get it in.

Since he became the head coach of the Denver Broncos, he has a 6-21 record.

He said they had a chance. There was a good fight in it. They did a better job than we did. When they had the ball, we gave ourselves an opportunity to take the lead and try to win the game. I know it was 4:30 and we were still in the game, but our team felt like it was the right decision to make.
