Life had begun to return to normal in the country's capital, Kyiv, after months without attacks, after Russia unleashed a series of deadly missile strikes on Ukrainian cities on Monday.

According to The Associated Press, it was the largest bombardment against Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's invasion.

Putin said in televised remarks on Monday that the strikes were in response to the destruction of parts of the Kerch Strait Bridge. Russia's military relies on the 12-mile link to get their supplies.

The bridge blast was not claimed by the Ukrainian government.

Putin claimed that the attack was provoked, but the Ukrainian minister of foreign affairs disagreed.

Kuleba said that Putin is a terrorist.
