State police said a man died after crashing his car into a cow.

St Pierre was driving over 100 miles per hour when he hit a cow that had walked into the road and killed it.

The crash was reported about an hour before midnight by police and paramedics. They tried to revive St Pierre, but he died from his injuries. The passenger's condition was not stated.

Vermont State Police do not know if the driver was wearing a seat belt in the wreck. The investigation is still going on.

The troopers that were dispatched to the scene were not available to speak with us.

According to the Vermont Digger, at least six people died in crashes on Route 105 in the year 2021. Most of the highway has a speed limit of 50 mph.
