While he's waiting to be traded, the Phoenix Suns veteran forward has drawn interest from several teams, and there's a chance he could end up with an Eastern Conference contender.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Atlanta Hawks are interested in trading for Crowder. The Suns are trying to get a trade for him.

"The Hawks and Suns have had discussions in recent weeks and months, I'm told, as Atlanta has seen if there's a path to bring Crowder into a Big Three of Trae Young, Dejounte Murray and John Collins," he said.

According to Charania, the Suns mutually agreed to seek a trade, so that he wouldn't be able to participate in training camp. He said it was time for him to take on another challenge.

A 10-year veteran who is known for his defense and three-point shooting, Crowder averaged 9.4 points, 5.3 rebound and 1.4 steals in 67 games for the Suns team that finished with the best record in the league.

It would be great to have a veteran presence on the team. Atlanta is expected to improve this season after acquiring Murray from the San Antonio Spurs. The combination of them defending the perimeter would be dangerous.

Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reported that he would like to return to the Miami Heat, where he played 20 games after being acquired in a three team trade.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up, as he can still be useful on a contender.
