Multiple large explosions hit center of Ukraine’s capital Kyiv for first time in months

According to the city's emergency services, there were multiple explosions in the center of the capital of the country.

It came just two days after a blast destroyed part of Russia's Kerch Bridge, the only bridge linking Russia to the Crimean peninsula.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to convene a meeting of his national security council to discuss the explosion at the bridge.

Several large blasts hit the center of Ukrainian capital.

According to the State Emergency Services, there were deaths and injuries caused by the explosions.

There were several explosions in the Shevchenkiv district. The services are followed to place. The mayor of Kyiv said that there would be details later.

The only bridge connecting Russia to the Crimean peninsula was destroyed in an explosion on Saturday and Ukrainians were bracing themselves for a reprisal attack. Putin accused the Ukrainians of being behind the bridge explosion.
