The NYCC con-goers received a pre-recorded visit from the stars of the show. The Electric Mayhem band live up to their name and invade the home of sisters Hannah and Nora as attendees watched a short clip from the show.

The human actors said it took a lot of effort to perform with the puppets. A simple scene where all the felt characters jump into a car together is turned into an exercise where 30 people are contorted in all directions to get all the muppets to move. Adam Goldberg, a writer and co-producer, asked how a muppet gets into a hot tub. The operator apparently replied, "I get into a wetsuit and go under the water."

Goldberg said that the show would try and stick to real life as the characters try and navigate the rough terrain of the music industry, but there will still be some 4th wall breaks. The producer let it be known that Zoot will fool Cheech and Chong.

During the panel talk, a man with a storied career working in the Jim Henson company talked about how he first got to know the famed Muppets and Sesame Street creator as a technician before he moved on to being a muppet operator He said Disney put him in a room with Goldberg and Yorkes because he was campaigning for a full Electric Mayhem show.

LindaPerry did original music for the show and they will release a full Electric Mayhem album.

There will be a 10-episode series on Disney+.
