At a time when many shows struggle to reach a second season, the Canadian mockumentary sitcom Trailer Park Boys has been quietly churned out one season after another for more than twenty years. The long-running series chronicles the misadventures of residents of a fictional trailer park in Nova Scotia and their colorful cast of neighbors, enemies, celebrity guests, and law enforcement.
There are 13 seasons, three films, an animated series, an international touring show, and numerous other spin-offs for Trailer Park Boys. The Trailer Park Boys will be starring in the Great Canadian Donair Turkey Day Feast.
With The Great Canadian Donair Turkey Day Feast on the calendar and multiple seasons of the Trailer Park Boys coming to various platforms, the guys from Sunnyvale Trailer Park are busy. They talked to Digital Trends about the upcoming Trailer Park Boys special, Canadian Thanksgiving, their live performances and new seasons hosted on the SwearNet streaming platform, and how they ended up going to space.
Guys, you have been doing this show for a long time. Why do you think it's popular?
Ricky doesn't know. It is sort of odd.
I think it's because they see us on TV and they're 888-609- 888-609- 888-609- 888-609- 888-609-
Basically. Ricky does a lot of stupid things and it's good to laugh at them.
That is enjoyable.
It doesn't take a lot to be happy. People learn from that.
What makes Canadian Thanksgiving different from the American version?
Ricky says it's only three days. Which type of sucks.
Ricky, you party at least seven days a year.
Ricky is correct. It sucks that we don't have big sales like they do in the US.
Ricky, that isn't what it's about.
What are you going to buy anyways? You usually don't do much else.
He likes to steal items that are on sale.
It's fair. On Thanksgiving, we will be able to watch you cook turkey. A donair turkey is different from a standard turkey.
There is no similarity between a donair turkey and a real turkey.
Ricky: The donair meat has to be made into a turkey. I think it's not a turkey. It appears to be one.
The turkey is a real animal. The turkey has never been outside.
There is a cow named Bubbles.
Bubbles is aware. It was not in the shape of a turkey.
A cow is still a cow.
It would be cool if there was an animal like that.
There is a donair turkey. Are you going to hunt for it? It would be incredible. You could just grab it and eat it. It needs to be dipped in sauce.

On Thanksgiving, there will be a marathon of your SwearNet show. Have you seen any of your favorite shows?
I wonder if they will show you kidnapping Alex Lifeson from Rush.
Ricky said it wasn't a kidnapping. It was taking out money.
Ricky, the same thing.
Rick, you don't lend people.
He went against what he said he would do.
Ricky said that he was a nice man. I thought he was a terrible person.
He is a great friend of ours now. I would like to see that one.
We got into business with him. That was a great one.
Ricky hopes they don't show anything to do with Con KY.
I would like to see them show Conky. I didn't remember about that. Those are from a long time ago.
The rest of the park will be doing nothing while you make turkey. Do you think Randy will do anything?
Ricky knows they should not come here. They might do their own thing.
Randy will show up, that's for sure. From the road, he will smell the turkey. The man will be here.
I don't believe he will. He has a group of guys coming over and they are making a cheeseburger turkey. I don't believe he will show up here. A lot of people are coming over for Thanksgiving.

Ricky: Do you plan on going to that?
Ricky, I won't go to that.
It is great to see the mail from fans. Do you want fans to send more or less?
There's more booze. There's more to it.
It's nice that cash is nice.

There has been some strange sex. Maybe we can get less of that.
Less of the sex toys. We have had many of those.
They all seem to get used.

You guys traveled around the world performing live shows. What was it like to go there?
It's fantastic. For a long time we did it all over the world. We traveled to Australia to do that.
The countries that were mentioned were Nordic countries.
All over Europe.
The response was insane. I didn't know we had so many fans.
The biggest show we did was in Norway.
There were two nights that sold out.
There are two nights at a giant theater.
The live shows for you guys are different.
It's completely different. A lot of it is dependent on how much buzz we have. You don't know what you'll get.
We have performed shows when we don't remember being on stage.
There are people who pass out in the audience and you have to wake them up.
In Ireland, that happened.
How has your music career been?
Bubbles said it was fantastic. I have a band called Bubbles and the Shitrockers and we are going to make a record.
What is different about the SwearNet show for people who were introduced to it onNetflix?
It is fast- paced with different clips. It's for people who are high.
It's good to have something like that on TV if you're playing poker. Background stuff is like that.
They are five-minute bits.
All mashed together.
People have no attention span so you have to shorten the clips. One frame will be flashing by eventually. People are going to get accustomed to that. The Swearnet show has short clips to get you in the swing of things.
You're going to be in the Swear Net show. Is that what it was?
Being on mushrooms was frightening for me.
We did a lot of fun things. We went to space and did a lot of crazy things.
Ricky said that was mostly in our brain because we were so high. We didn't travel to space.
It felt like it to me.
