This weekend saw a full display of Musk's vision for the future of the social networking site after he strode into the center of a content moderation controversy created by West.

It was the first time since November 2020 that West popped up on the social media platform. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the company confirmed that West's account was removed and that there were restrictions on it. On Sunday, West's account was still visible, but it was likely frozen.

The post that broke the rules on the photo sharing site was a conversation between West and Sean "Diddy" Combs, in which West accused the other musician of being controlled by the Jews.

Musk welcomed West back to the platform despite the troubled artist's recent antisemitic statements.

Welcome back to Twitter, my friend!

The warm welcome Musk received from West appears to have led to his antisemitic conspiracy. West said he was going to die when he woke up on Saturday night.

The account of West was locked due to a violation of Twitter's policies, despite Musk's approval.

West stirred up controversy at Paris fashion week by showing a shirt with the phrase "White Lives Matter" in a pop up warehouse show. Much of the fashion industry spoke out against him and defended the Vogue Editor, who West criticized for his stunt as "deeply offensive, violent and dangerous."

If Elon Musk gets his way, Twitter will lose years of progress
