On the day after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III gave his first speech as monarch and announced that some members of the royal family would change their titles.

William would become Prince of Wales and Kate would become Princess of Wales. Charles III was the longest serving royal to hold the title for 64 years.

William plans to make it his own as he steps into the role, according to reports.

William will have a smaller investiture ceremony than his father.

William is following in the footsteps of past monarchs by passing on a fancy investiture ceremony. When a member of the royal family gives an honor to a person in person, it's called an investiture ceremony.

The Prince of Wales is usually presented with items associated with the title in a ceremony.

There are no plans for an investiture like the one the Prince's father had.

William is going to get rid of his business attire.

Prince William and Kate wanted to make the British monarchy more modern. Half of the staffer's King Charles III relied on during his time as Prince of Wales is one way they are doing this.

William told his staff that they don't have to wear suits in the office. A member of the household told Low that he wanted to keep it casual.

He doesn't want the office to be too formal. A royal source told Low that they would wear suits if they went to Buckingham Palace. William told them that they could dress casually if they didn't have important people in the room.

The royal family has a policy of never complaining, never explaining.

William wants to ditch its "never complain, never explain" mentality.

The royal couple traveled to three Commonwealth countries during their controversial Caribbean tour in March of 2022. Protests erupted in Jamaica and Belize over William and Kate's tour.

The source told The Sun that they were attacked because of their Caribbean trip. They are going to rip up the rule-book in the future. They are trying to figure out what that will be.

The trust between Wales and William and Kate is being deepened.

The Prince and Princess of Wales want to deepen the trust and respect of the people of Wales over time according to a royal source.

The prince and princess traveled to Wales for their first public appearance.

"They are looking forward to spending more time in Wales over the coming months and years, taking the time to strengthen their relationship with communities in all parts of Wales."
