Aroldis Chapman was dropped from the Yankees' American League Division Series roster because he didn't show up for Friday's workout.

The Yankees manager said that the former All-Star closer did not provide an acceptable excuse for why he was in Miami.

Disciplinary action is possible, according to Boone.

The best-of-five series will start on Tuesday.

Carpenter has recovered from a broken foot and is likely to be on New York's roster. DJ LeMaheiu's status had not been determined as he tries to overcome an injured toe, and Andrew Benintendi's status had not been determined as he recovers from hand surgery.

Cole will start for the Yankees in the opener, followed by Cortes and Severino in the next two games.

The best-of-five series will feature a rotation of three men.

That's right.
