According to a new book, Lindsey Graham advised officers to shoot the rioters in the head.

The senator made the comments during a meeting with the group, according to the outlet.

Graham said that they should have shot them all in the head.

"You should have used the guns we gave you," Graham said. I'm not sure why that didn't happen.

Fanone, who was beaten with a flag pole during the insurrection, was present during the exchange with Graham.

The US Capitol building was occupied by pro- Trump supporters. Lawmakers were forced to leave the building as rioters attacked police.

The Washington Post reported that Graham snapped at the officers at the scene during the chaotic attack.

He shouted at the sergeant-at-arms. Do you know what you're doing? It's time to take back the Senate. You possess firearms. Graham told them to use them.
