Two employees at a restaurant in Arkansas were fired after a video appeared to show one of them spitting.

The video was shared by ABC 24 Memphis and showed a person spitting in the chicken batter.

Jonathan Cardwell is an operator for the restaurant chain.

He wrote on the restaurant's Facebook page that the team member and the one filming had been terminated.

The company takes such matters very seriously and Cardwell apologized.

The company did not respond to Insider's request for comment.

The Arkansas Department of Health was contacted by WREG-TV in West Memphis. The Arkansas Department of Health takes restaurant complaints very seriously and will follow up with an inspection.
