According to sources, Russell Wilson battled a partially torn lat in the Broncos game against the Raiders and played in the Colts game against the Broncos.
Wilson was hurt in the beginning of the second quarter of the Las Vegas game when he threw two touchdown passes and ran for a third.
The doctors diagnosed the injury before the Colts game. Wilson didn't practice until the day before the game. He was listed as questionable with an injured shoulder.
Sources say that Wilson won't need surgery on his shoulder. Even though he is not expected to be 100%, he is expected to play in the Broncos' next game a week from Monday night in Los Angeles against the Bolts. Sources say doctors think the injury could last for weeks.
Wilson flew to Los Angeles on Friday in order to get an injection in his shoulder with the hope that it will help him play better in the future.
In the 12-9 overtime loss, Wilson completed 21 of 39 passes and had two turnovers. Wilson blamed the loss on his shoulder injury.
Wilson said that he needed to look at this and see where he could improve. I was injured and trying to play quickly. It should have been a win for us. It should have been ours. It is on me. I have gone through tough times before. I've gone through challenges, I've gone through highs, and I've gone through lows. I had a lot of highs and lows.
