The concussion protocols that were applied to Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa during his team's 21-19 win over the Buffalo Bills have been agreed upon by the National Football League and the National Football League Players' Association.

In the scene that took place in the Bills game, Tagovailoa was seen stumbling to the ground before leaving the game and then coming back.

In the first half of the Buffalo game,Tagovailoa was knocked out of the game by a hit from Matt Milano, who was flagged for roughing the passer on the play. When Tagovailoa got up on his feet, he shook his head and stumbled as he began to move forward. Tagovailoa came back to play at the end of the first half.

The head coach of the Dolphins said after the game that Tagovailoa was dealing with injuries. The quarterback said his back locked up and he fell.

According to the report, the quarterback didn't show any signs or symptoms of a concussion during the rest of the game or the week after.

The doctors did not examine Tagovailoa's back during the concussion test and instead relied on previous tests.

The protocols have been changed to include players being taken out for signs of a disease.

The term "ataxia" has been added to the "no-go" symptoms. "'Ataxia' is defined as abnormality of balance/stability, motor coordination or faulty speech caused by a neurological issue."

The revised protocols did not allow Tagovailoa to return to the game.

Dr. Allen Sills, CMO of the NFL, says that under the adjusted protocol, which now includes ataxia as an automatic no-go, Tua would not have been allowed to return to the game.

Four days after the Bills game, Tagovailoa was given the green light to play. He had a concussion and a neck injury after he hit the turf.

Tagovailoa won't be playing in the Jets game on Sunday. Teddy will take his place.
