At the New York Comic Con on Saturday, the latest trailer for the final season of Picard was shown, revealing some unexpected reappearances by legacy characters.
The trailer begins with Captain Jean-Luc Picard receiving a distress signal from Beverly Crusher, prompting him to band together with old friends from The Next Generation, including William Riker. Vadic is a villain who appears to be played by the film's lead actor.
At the end of the trailer there are ominous scenes showing both Moriarty and Lore. It is the first time we have seen Spiner reprise his role as Lore, and it is also the first time we have heard that Moriarty is coming back. The final season of Star Trek: Picard will premiere on Paramount Plus in the US on February 16th,23.
At this year's NYCC, there are other Star Trek trailers. There is a trailer for the fifth season of Star Trek: Discovery. The new season is rumored to debut next year, but we don't know when.
The new trailer for Star Trek: Prodigy was shown. Vice admiral Janeway is looking for the abandoned Protostar ship that was taken over by Dal and other young crew members. The second half of the first season will premiere on Paramount Plus.
