During an interview that aired on Friday, the rapper Ye said that the former president was brilliant, but also tried to operate the white way as a Black man.

Ye remarked on Obama, who represented a swath of the South Side of Chicago in the Illinois Senate before being elected to the United States Senate in 2004 and then becoming the nation's first Black president in January 2009.

Ye was referring to the "Black Lives Matter" movement.

A semi-influential black person is hired to be the face of a white company. He said that in the art world, they will pick artists that were less talented than others because of their influence. It's not based on their work. Everyone is trying to get an opinion. Everyone is scared of losing their opinion.

He said, "Like anyone that ever worked with me, they just look at 'Who's Ye farming for talent that we can just hire to be our new BLM office manager, kinda like Obama'."

Carlson asked Ye if he thought of Obama as an office manager. It's the best one I've ever seen.

Ye went on to say that Obama and Abloh were both Black men who excelled in their fields.

"I think Obama, just like Virgil, these people are truly Black to their core and truly brilliant to their core, but they went into situations thinking that they could do it the white way as a Black man," he stated.

The South Side of Chicago was where Obama got his start in politics.

The rapper said that his account was disabled, and that he made comments about former White House senior advisor to the president that were seen as anti-Semitic.
