Anna Sorokin was released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody on Friday.

After spending more than a year in jail for overstaying her visa, Sorokin was released from the Orange County Correctional Facility, 80 miles northwest of New York City.

The NY Post caught up with Sorokin after her release and she said she was happy to be back in Manhattan.

She wore a sweatsuit as she spoke to the press at her apartment building.

Under the terms of her release, Sorokin was banned from social media use and had to post $10,000 bail, but it's not clear how long she'll stay under house arrest.

Sorokin didn't give a lot of information when the NY Post asked about her future plans.

I'm not sure. We will have to wait and see.

Sorokin pretended to be a German heiress named Anna Delvey in order to scam New York City's rich and famous.

A German citizen went on a years-long crime spree during which she stole tens of thousands of dollars from friends and hotels.

After two years in jail, she was released in February of 2021. The immigration case of Sorokin is still pending even though she's no longer in jail.

Thanks to a New York Magazine piece detailing her crimes, Sorokin gained infamy and was followed by a series about her.
