The city of Portland is located in the state of Oregon. The serial rapist is set to be released from prison in December after serving almost all of his maximum sentence.

Gillmore admitted to raping nine girls in the Portland area in the 70s and 80s but was only convicted in one case because of the statute of limitations. He was found guilty of raping Tiffany in December 1986 and sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Unless they come forward publicly, the Associated Press doesn't name people who have been sexually assaults. In August, she received a message from the state's Victim Information and Notification Service telling her that her attacker would be released.

She wrote that she had been processing the reality of it all.

According to The Oregonian, Gillmore was transferred to the minimum-security Columbia River Correctional Institute in Portland in August to prepare for his return to the community. He will be released in December.

Gillmore could be sent back to prison if he violates his parole after he's released.

Gillmore was sentenced to at least 30 years in prison with a 60 year maximum. His sentence was slashed by a parole board the year after he was sentenced.

Danielle Tudor was raped by Gillmore when she was a teenager.

Tudor said that if he had been charged for all the rapes he committed, he wouldn't be getting out.

Gillmore has a low risk of reoffending. Due to his rape conviction, he will have to register as a sex predator for the rest of his life, but the state and county don't have to tell surrounding residents that he's living near them.

His victims are angry that Gillmore isn't considered a high-risk sex predator, which would require notification to the community wherever he lives.

Tudor said she didn't understand why he was classified as a low-level sex offenders.

Tudor said that he was designated as a danger at trial.
