Musk said "welcome back to my friend!".
West's account was restricted and some of his content was deleted because it violated the app's policies. The accounts that break the guidelines may be temporarily restricted from posting. Meta wouldn't comment on which posts were deleted from West's account.
Musk has been friends with West since 2011. The artist has been praised by the tech mogul. Musk and Facebook's relationship is less stable.
The feud between the two tech CEOs started in 2016 after a Facebook satellite was destroyed by a rocket. He is also the CEO of the company.
In April, Musk compared Facebook's founder to a monarch and said he wouldn't buy the social network if he did.
Both West and Musk have a penchant for social media. In March of this year, West's account was suspended for violating the app's harassment policy after he attacked several people.
On Friday, West posted what he claimed were "abbreviated" text messages between him and the creative director of the fashion label Supreme, who died of cancer last year.
His account was restricted due to a post.
