The mother of Brian Sicknick, the officer who died in the Jan 6 riot, was told by Sen. Lindsey Graham that she would not be allowed to have a meeting with him if she continued to talk bad about Trump.
The alleged interaction was recounted by ex-DC Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Falcon in his new book.
According to the report, Graham told Gladys Sicknick to stop making comments about the former president.
Officer Sicknick died on January 7, a day after he fought back against Trump. Congress certified the 2020 election results for President Joe Biden when the rioters invaded the Capitol.
In an interview with CNN during the summer, Ken Sicknick blamed Trump for the attack, saying that he was at fault for riling up the crowds and getting his sycophants following whatever word he said.
The two men indicted in connection to Sicknick's death are named in the indictment. The Department of Justice announced last month that he pleaded guilty to two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
More than 900 people have been charged in relation to the attack.
