Musk said in an interview with the Financial Times that the conflict between Taiwan and China could be solved by making the island a "special administrative zone" like Hong Kong.
One Taiwanese legislator threatened to boycott the company if Musk continued to advocate for the proposal. Musk's business interests in China made him unable to maintain an objective view on the conflict.
It's understandable that Musk needs to cooperate with him. According to the outlet, the secretary-general of the Legislative Yuan of the Democratic Progressive Party in Taiwan said that the world is more concerned about how to ensure Taiwan's democracy.
Taiwan News reported that the Chinese government called Musk's comment inappropriate. The Taiwan issue is China's domestic politics, according to a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ukrainian officials blasted Musk's plan for peace between Russian and Ukranian. A poll was posted on Monday by the billionaire on his social media accounts.
