Ohio State will once again be without star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba for Saturday's game at Michigan State.

Smith-Njigba, a third-team AP All-America selection in 2021, was injured in the season opener against Notre Dame and hasn't played since. Ohio State is cautious about his return and he has only four catches on the season.

Ryan Day said they hope to get him back this week. It's difficult to tell. If he comes in today, he can say he had a little bit of a setback, or he's going to play on Saturday.

The backup running back tied an Ohio State single-game record with five rushing touchdown and 190 yards in a win over Rutgers. Williams leads the Ohio State in carries, rushing yards, and rushing touchdown. He has not been disclosed with his injury.

Ohio State has a status report for Michigan State. Day expected Henderson to play in the Big Ten opener against the Spartans.

The Cornerback is expected to play against Michigan State. The guard will make a decision at the end of the game.

Ohio State has an open week before playing Iowa.
