Dominic Young was the name on everyone's lips by the time he finished his shift on Friday.
The 21-year-old left the Giants because of a lack of opportunities and joined the Knights where he has scored 18 tries in 26 games
In England's final warm-up game before the World Cup, he showed a debut full of skill, speed and athletic ability as he scored a try in the 50th minute.
The man of the match said he enjoyed it. I haven't been in front of the England fans and my family in a long time. I liked it very much.
We did a good job." We did a great job, even though they were a big group of guys.
A call from Wane to represent the country of his birth rather than his heritage was one that Young could not refuse.
England's gain is that he missed out on playing with his brother on the international stage.
Those in attendance were able to see a star show from Young that will leave the opposing player with nightmares.
The 6ft 7in, 16st 12lb man mountain galloped towards him with the ball in his hand, time and again.
Young had a chance to open the scoring with his first touch of the ball, but he fumbled close to the corner, and then he scored with an acrobatic effort.
The flexibility he showed to keep the ball alive for Kallum Watkins' try was incredible, while he also showed his selfishness by popping a pass off for George Williams to cross.
Wane thought he did some good things. I will find a way to make him better. He did a good job carrying the ball and his skills were good. He was very happy with his first game.
He did some outstanding things with the team and has an aerial threat. He did a good job handling himself.
The carries and the amount of yards impressed me the most. He was a problem for the country today. He fit in well in camp.
Williams said that Dom was huge for them. He is crazy. He is strong and fast.
He was carrying the load and making good runs. I owe him one for setting me up for a try.
"Dom was great from the back with his carries, but he has done that all year forNewcastle so I knew what he was going to bring to the side."
Will Young be in the starting line-up for next Saturday's World Cup opener against Samoa?
Heading into the tournament, Wane said there were 10 spots up for grabs.
The ex-Wigan Warriors boss said he knew what his 13 would be. I have 24 fit men to choose from and they are all in good shape.
Wane has a dilemma on how to fit Young into his side and if he is selected it will mean a former Golden Boot winner in Tommy Makinson or England's all-time leading try scorer in Ryan Hall have been left out.
"Dom has had a really good season in the National Rugby League," said Tom Burgess, who will face Young in Australia. He is one of the best in the game due to his size and speed.
It was great to see him in an England shirt, he is a really good prospect.
Young is confident that he may have done enough to be selected for the team.
He said he's excited. To open the World Cup in front of our fans is going to be a huge test. I'm excited to get out there.
