Elon Musk says conflict between Taiwan and China could be resolved by making the island a 'special administrative zone' similar to Hong Kong

In an interview with the Financial Times, Musk said that he would recommend a special administrative zone for Taiwan.

China has cracked down on the country in recent years by passing a national security law that punishes citizens for dissent against Beijing, despite the fact that Hong Kong manages its own politics.

Musk, who does a lot of business with China, said that the factory in Shanghai would be in the middle of a conflict between China and Taiwan. He didn't want to comment on the tensions between the US and China.
