A projected top 10 NBA draft pick will have surgery next week on his thumb after he injured it in practice.
It will be reexamined in November.
First-year coach Kyle Neptune said they were disappointed for cam. He's worked hard to understand what it takes to be successful in the Big East. Cam will approach his rehabilitation with a great attitude and this is a temporary setback.

The USA Basketball U18 team at the FIBA U18 Americas this past summer averaged 18.7 points and 6.3 rebound while shooting better than 70% from inside the perimeter and 45.5% from the 3-point line. The United States won the gold medal.
Over the past few months, he has increased his NBA stock as much as any draft-eligible player, and is currently projected as the No. 5 pick in the next mock draft.
The first game under Neptune will be against La Salle in November. Neptune is without an All-Big East guard. Moore was hurt in the NCAA tournament last year and is out indefinitely.
They are both currently out with injuries.
