President Joe Biden is too old to run for a second term, according to billionaire investor and CEO of Musk.
"You don't want to be too far away from the average age of the population because it's going to be very difficult to stay in touch," Musk said.
He wondered if one generation away from the average age was okay. I am not sure how in touch you are with the people. Is it doable?
Since Biden was elected, Musk has become critical of the president as their relationship deteriorated. Musk said he would vote Republican. If Biden is re-elected in four years, he will be close to 81. Insider asked the White House to comment on Musk's comments.
Musk has called out a politician in the past. Musk replied with, "I keep forgetting that you're still alive."
Musk's company would not be included in the legislation to authorize a tax credit of up to $12,500 for Americans who buy an electric vehicle made by unionized workers. Musk dislikes unions. The company did not reply to Insider's request for comment.
The CEO of the electric car company called the US president out for not inviting them to a White House electric vehicle summit last year.
After Biden met with Ford and General GM executives at a meeting for EV in January, Musk responded to Biden on his account saying, "Starts with a T, ends with an A, ESL in the middle" Both Ford and GM have unions.
"Biden is a damp sock puppet in human form," he wrote on his account.
Even though they have fought in the past, Musk doesn't hate Donald Trump. He is considering setting up a political action committee for moderate candidates.
